This Scream poster contains a dark shadowy background which is a typical convention of horror. It has connotations of night-time, therefore being uneasy of what can be going on that you can’t see. Most of the page is a close-up of the woman’s face, her eyes are widely spread, and her hand is over her mouth, this could link to the film, it also links to the title ‘scream’ her hand could be over her mouth because she is in shock/frightened. The title suggests that there will be a lot of frightening moments in the film hence the name. The title connects with the key image as she is about to scream. The tagline gives audiences an insight as to what is going to happen in the film. It indicates it is going to be scarier than any recent film involving lots of killing.
