Poster analysis 3

Image
TV thriller poster analysis 3 The terrifier 2 poster includes a lot of red which indicates danger, blood and death, its also got a dark shadow aura surrounding the main image of fire and skulls which also represent death and maybe even psychotic as we can see the clown who is the antagonist/killer and the skulls indicate how he has killed lots and lots of people, we also see a female character in the center that we do not know much about yet which could connect to the female audience and create anticipation for the pre created audience of the first film in the franchise. The title of the film does link to the images as it’s a rather terrifying poster. The date of release at the bottom being in a color which is very noticeable and the release date being in October which is the perfect time to release a horror film as everyone will be in the spooky spirit. The font also creates a scary vibe to the poster as its clear yet sort of sinister.

Poster analysis 2

TV thriller poster analysis 2 This Scream poster contains a dark shadowy background which is a typical convention of horror. It has connotations of night-time, therefore being uneasy of what can be going on that you can’t see. Most of the page is a close-up of the woman’s face, her eyes are widely spread, and her hand is over her mouth, this could link to the film, it also links to the title ‘scream’ her hand could be over her mouth because she is in shock/frightened. The title suggests that there will be a lot of frightening moments in the film hence the name. The title connects with the key image as she is about to scream. The tagline gives audiences an insight as to what is going to happen in the film. It indicates it is going to be scarier than any recent film involving lots of killing.

TV thriller poster analysis 1 This poster of the show Dexter has the title in red to show blood and indicate danger to the audience, we can also see the main character ‘Dexter’ with blood on his face but also a smile on his face which shows a psychotic impression of the character which he is. We can also see that the letter T in the title contains a little point at the top of it which creates the image of a knife and therefore links to murder and danger. The poster is kept minimalistic but effective as we can get a rough feel for the main character and the TV show itself, we know its somewhat about a murderer/psychopath. The color blue in the background could represent coldness and this could indicate parts of the show.
